Carbon steel flanges are widely used in the installation of industrial fluid pipelines. Q235 and A105 are two kinds of carbon steel materials that are more commonly used. However, their quotations are different, sometimes quite different. So what is the difference between them? What is the difference between their prices?
First of all, Q235 carbon steel flange is a very common flange selected by many purchasers because of its low price. Q235 generally uses a temperature of - 10~350 ℃. In addition, Q235 generally requires a design pressure of less than 3.0MPa. In terms of usage,
Q235 carbon steel flange is generally used on non-toxic and non-combustible pipeline medium, and of course, it is also used on structural steel, such as supports and hangers, etc., but Q235 shall not be used for liquefied hydrocarbon, and the degree of toxicity is highly and extremely hazardous medium.
Carbon steel flange is made of Q235 material. Note that this means forging Q235, because the thicker Q235 steel plate can be directly used as flange, but its performance is slightly lower than that of forging. It is mainly due to the difference of internal crystal structure, which is difficult to distinguish between composition and performance. The origin of Q235 is because the yield strength is above 235, the measured yield strength in mechanical properties is above 245, and the tensile strength is above 265.
A105 carbon steel flange is a common American standard carbon steel material, common structural steel, including steel plate, profile steel, etc. Its manganese content is relatively high, and the round steel material is called 20Mn. It can be seen that its content is relatively high after the element manganese. Since then, its tensile strength and yield strength will be relatively high, and its overall mechanical properties will be better. The actual yield strength of A105 material under general standards is more than 300, and the tensile strength is more than 500.
In China's export trade to foreign countries, many foreign customers and buyers will choose the flange material of the common American standard A105. If there are other materials, special remarks will be made.
