Hot-Dip Galvanized Flange

Hot-dip galvanized flange is a kind of flange plate with good corrosion resistance. It can be immersed in molten zinc at about 500 ℃ after the flange is formed and derusted, so that the surface of steel components can be coated with zinc, thus achieving the purpose of corrosion prevention.

Meaning
Hot galvanizing is an effective method of metal corrosion protection, which is mainly used for metal structures and facilities in various industries. It is to immerse the derusted steel parts in the molten zinc at about 500 ℃, so that the surface of the steel members can be attached with a zinc layer, thus achieving the purpose of corrosion prevention. The anti-corrosion period of hot-dip galvanizing is long, but it is different in different environments: for example, 13 years in the heavy industrial zone, 50 years in the ocean, 104 years in the suburbs, and 30 years in the city.

Technological process
Finished product pickling - water washing - adding auxiliary plating solution - drying - hanging plating - cooling - chemical - cleaning - polishing - hot galvanizing completion

Principle
The iron parts are cleaned, then treated with solvent, dried and immersed in the zinc solution. The iron reacts with molten zinc to form an alloyed zinc layer. The process is: degreasing -- water washing -- acid washing -- auxiliary plating -- drying -- hot dip galvanizing -- separation -- cooling passivation.
The thickness of the alloy layer of hot galvanizing mainly depends on the silicon content and other chemical components of the steel, the cross-sectional area of the steel, the roughness of the steel surface, the temperature of the zinc pot, the galvanizing time, the cooling speed, the cold rolling deformation, etc.

Advantage
1. Low treatment cost: the cost of hot-dip galvanizing is lower than that of other paint coatings;
2. Durable: In the suburban environment, the standard thickness of hot-dip galvanized rust prevention can be maintained for more than 50 years without repair; In urban or offshore areas, the standard hot-dip galvanized antirust coating can be maintained for 20 years without repair;
3. Good reliability: the zinc coating and the steel are metallurgically combined and become a part of the steel surface, so the durability of the coating is relatively reliable;
4. The toughness of the coating is strong: the galvanized coating forms a special metallurgical structure, which can withstand mechanical damage during transportation and use;
5. Comprehensive protection: every part of the plated part can be coated with zinc, and can be fully protected even at the depression, sharp corner and hidden place;
6. Save time and effort: the galvanizing process is faster than other coating construction methods, and can avoid the time required for painting on the site after installation;
