Product Description
Hubbed slip on flange is the extension of steel pipe, pipe fittings, etc., into flanges, and connected with equipment or pipes through fillet welding. Slip on flange is also a kind of slip on plate flange, but it has more short neck than plate flat welded flange. Because of the short neck, it not only increases the strength of the flange, but also improves the bearing capacity of the flange. So flat welded flange with neck can be used in high pressure pipe.
Advantages: Hubbed slip on flanges are also flat-welded flanges, because there is a short neck, which increases the strength of the flange and improves the bearing capacity of the flange. So it can be used on higher pressure pipelines.
Disadvantages: Compared with the plate-type flat welding flange, the cost is higher, and it is easier to bump during transportation due to its shape characteristics.
