DIN standards are a series of industrial standards developed by the German Institute for Standardization. Welding neck  flange is a common flange connection method, commonly used for connecting pipeline systems and equipment.

Welded neck flange, also known as a flange neck, is a type of flange with protruding circular edges. This protruding neck is usually used for installing bolts to connect two flanges.

Connection method

Welded neck  flanges are usually connected by bolts. During the installation process, the neck of the flange is inserted into the neck of another flange, and then they are tightly connected together through bolts and nuts to form a sealed connection.

Advantages

2.Large footprint: The design of neck welded flanges requires a certain amount of space to accommodate the neck of the flange, which may pose certain challenges in some space limited applications.

3.Maintenance of bolts and nuts: The use of bolted connections requires regular inspection and maintenance to ensure that the bolts and nuts are in good condition. Otherwise, it may affect the reliability and sealing performance of the connection.
